  5. I like The Easter Story. The reminder and demonstration of how much God truly loves us that He would send His only beloved Son to die for the sins which we could never repay, while we rejected and scorned Him, it's truly overwhelming when you think about how undeserving we are, and yet God loves us so much, and that will never change. I have doubted Him before, I have tried to take things into my own hands, and I have despaired at life, but praise the Lord He can be trusted, He can hold ALL things in His hands without danger of dropping even the slightest care, and He gives a meaning and purpose to life. I love it when the clouds seem like they're at their darkest and hope is almost gone, and then God chases them all away and the sun shines again and it's like He is saying, "Yes, I'm still here. Yes, I answer prayer. Yes, you can trust Me." Which brings to mind a line from What a Friend We Have in Jesus that says, "Oh, what peace we often forfeit. Oh what needless pain we bear. All becuse we do not carry, Everything to God in prayer." Sorry for the uber long comment, but that's my favorite one. :)

  6. My favorite post was about your Great Grandma Alice. She reminded me of our good friend Mae who is also with Jesus. The many stories and hard-working mentality the two woman shared inspires me daily. Your feeling in the post much paralleled mine. One day we will see all our dear friends again! And this time no one will need medication.
